For social media agencies and freelancers

Client approvalsYour client signs off.
The post goes out.

Send a post or a whole week of posts for approval. Your client opens one email, sees each post the way it will look on each channel, and taps Approve or Request changes. Approved posts schedule themselves, and nothing unapproved gets published.

  • Clients take no seat
  • No password for clients
  • On every paid plan

Approvals shouldn't live in five places

Most agencies collect sign-off wherever the client happens to answer. It works until a post goes out with last week's caption.

Screenshots in email

You paste mockups into an email, the client replies "looks good" to the wrong one, and the thread is 40 messages long by Wednesday.

WhatsApp threads

Feedback arrives as a voice note at 11 PM. Someone has to copy it into the caption, and nobody can find it two weeks later.

Which version is final?

Caption v3, v3 final, v3 final for real. The team guesses, schedules one, and hopes it is the one the client approved.

How it works

Set it up once per client workspace. After that it runs every time your team has posts ready.

  1. 01

    Choose the steps

In Settings, turn approvals on as optional or required and add 1 to 3 steps, for example Review and then Approval.

  2. 02

    Pick the approvers

Each step gets its own approvers: people on your team, the client, or both. Clients are added with the client role.

  3. 03

    Send posts for approval

Write the post, set a caption per channel if you want, and send one post or a whole batch for approval.

  4. 04

    The client gets an email

Approvers get an email and a notification in the app. One button in the email opens the review, no password needed.

  5. 05

    Approve or request changes

The client sees a preview per channel and can approve, approve everything at once, or request changes with a comment.

  6. 06

    It schedules itself

When the last step approves, the posts are scheduled for the time you set. Requested changes go back to your team.

What your client sees

A clean review page that works on a phone. Your client sees the post as it will look, not a screenshot of it.

  • A preview for each channel, with that channel's caption
  • Approve, Request changes, or Approve all in one tap
  • Comments from your team, never your internal notes
  • Each step and decision in the approval history

Internal note

Client can't see this. Remind them about the holiday post next week.

Built for how agencies work with clients

Everything you need to get a clear yes, without adding another tool to your client's day.

1 to 3 review steps

Run an internal review before the client sees anything, or add a second client approver. Each step moves on by itself.

Client role, no seat

Clients join as reviewers. They take no seat on your plan and only see the posts you send them, nothing else in the workspace.

Sign in from the email

Clients press one button in the email to review. No password to forget. The link expires and only opens that client's workspace.

Comments, notes and @mentions

One thread per post with the client's comments, internal notes the client never sees, @mentions and the edit history.

Drafts and captions per channel

Save posts as drafts and write a different caption for each account, so LinkedIn doesn't get your Instagram hashtags.

Nothing unapproved goes out

When a workspace requires approval, only approved posts publish. Final approval schedules the post for you.

Edits go back for review

Change the caption or media after approval and the post goes back to the client. Moving only the time keeps the approval.

AI agents draft, people approve

Agents connected through the API or MCP can draft posts and send them for approval. Only a person can approve.

Running social for several brands?

Give each client a workspace with its own channels, posts, team and approval settings, all under one agency login and one bill.

Questions

Does my client need a Chat33 account or a paid seat?
No paid seat. Clients are added with the client role, which takes no seat and only shows the posts sent to them. They can review straight from the approval email by pressing one button, with no password. If you prefer, you can require approvers to sign in.
What happens when the client requests changes?
Request changes always needs a comment, so your team knows exactly what to fix. The post goes back to your team, you edit it, and send it for approval again. The whole conversation stays in the post's thread.
Can a post be published without approval?
In a workspace set to required, no. Only approved posts are published, and final approval schedules them automatically. Set to optional, your team can choose per post whether to ask for approval first.
What if we change a post after it was approved?
A change to the content, like the caption or the media, sends the post back for approval. Changing only the publish time keeps the approval, so you can move a post without asking again.
Can my client see our internal discussion?
No. Internal notes stay with your team and are never shown to the client. Regular comments are visible to everyone on the post, including the client.
How many approval steps can we have?
From 1 to 3 steps per workspace, for example an internal Review followed by the client's Approval. Each step has its own approvers, who can be team members or clients.
Can AI agents approve posts?
No. Agents and integrations using the API or MCP can draft posts and send them for approval, but an approval decision is always made by a person.
Which plans include client approvals?
Approvals work on every paid plan. Each client can have its own workspace with its own approval settings. See pricing for how many client workspaces each plan includes.
